Motor: Metric Mechanic stroker 2.1L. M42 block, M47 stroker crank, M44 head ported volvo valves, single row timing set, V8 oil pump conversion. OBX manifold, .63/.70 turbo, 3" exhaust from turbo to tail. Gizzmo boost controller IBC on scramble. Drivetrain: Spec LWF 9# billet aluminum, Stage 3 clutch, Drilled pressure plate. ZF trans w/50% short shift. LSD 3.23, 328i driveshaft and custon axle shafts. I seen a super/turbocharged e46 at Bimmerfest a few years ago. It was way overdone and mostly a "showcar" thing. I agree with Johnboy, if you want more HP and your motor/wallet can take it, just run a bigger turbo. |
