Current DASC pricing? / possible group buy?
 

Anyone have current pricing and /or feedback on the performance/reliability of this kit?

I'm looking into a DASC. It's about $3850 through Downing Atlanta directly. Group buy would be the best if there is any chance on saving money. Either way, I'm interested.

i've got a used one installed on a m42, but i'd have to swap it into my m44. yet if i can get a new one for 2850 , i'm in for sure! would that make us 3? if so , let get this going. Can someone handle this task? I've got my hands full right now. actually typing with one hand, baby in the other. there are other people looking also and it would take five to make a group + that's what they have in stock , at least 3 weeks ago. If the price is in the $2850 range I may be interested. Is there a different kit for M42 and M44? I have M44.

Seems like we have five people? Who should do the contacting? Jim at Downing/Atlanta wont be in til next monday. He's on vacation. Can you do a group buy through understeer? Seems like we need some coordination.

as it so happens, i sent Jim at Downing/Atlanta an email this past sunday, stating that there was an interest in the DASC and would it be available as a group buy. as of now i have not heard back from him, probably because he's on vacation.

I'm sure we will hear back monday or so. I will be on vacation myself, but I will try my best to be active in this group buy. I'll be checking the forums as much as possible. How does the payment process work? Do we all pay separately or what?

I am following this intently, hopefully it'll pan out.

Someone should try calling tomorrow. Must be out for the holidays. Anyway, the list does grow, and I'm still interested.

If someone needs me to call Jim I will. I have different numbers for him. PM me your contact number and I will get it too him if you want me to do this. I have some history with Jim and although I won't call him at home over this I can normally get in touch with him pretty quick or have exact dates of his return to the shop.

Jim is pretty relaxed and sometimes needs a kick in the butt
