325is and 328is part difference?

i currently own a 325is but i'm planning to pick up a 318ti because my 325is is about to die on me. anyways, when I get the 318ti I want to swap in a 328 motor and i was just wondering if I could use any parts off my 325 for the swap? also, is there anything else that can be swapped over for improvements like suspension, brakes, etc... i've heard of ppl using m3 suspensions on the ti but never 325 parts.

the front brakes can be used on the ti, they make a world of diffrence.

You didn't mention what year your TI is. If its a 95 you'll have to use all the electrical stuff, ECU harness and intake manifold setup from your OBD1 325 onto your OBD2 328 engine. If its a OBD2 96 and up just swap everything over from the 328. The front suspension, brakes, rack, cooling system, basically everything from your 325 front end will have to be swapped over. M3 front end stuff works well also or better yet ZM3 front and rear suspention and drivline line components just bolt right upto the TI. The TI trans assuming its a 5 speed could remain if need be just make sure to upgrade to a 328 or better clutch setup. Have fun.........
