M50ti hesitation. Fuel starvation?

Right, after running my m50 for a couple weeks i've found that ive got a hesitation. Round about 2000rpm on full throttle it holds back for a couple seconds, then its off! Also, if I drive around normally its fine but if the car is driven "enthusiastically" the fuel pump starts running really loudly! I think ive got a starvation problem. Anyone else suffered from this problem after a swap. The pumps from the 325 and the 318 have the same part number so its not like the 325 pump is uprated. Just sound like my stock pump is struggling. Unless its just a coincidence that mine is crapping out.

Your pump is probably crapping out on you.

Check your connections. I had some fuel pressure connector that kept coming loose. At first, the hesitation only happened around 3500 rpm in 3rd, so I didn't really bother checking. But then I guess the thing popped out and I got it at all rpms in all gears and when I pulled over, I found the "loose" connection

found out what mine was. I had the tank vent bodged up as i smashed mine when i took the m44 out. Basically it was creating such a vaccuum in the tank it was crushing the feed line from the pump to the lines. Hence the noise and lack of power. All fixed now though
