1995 318ti Active 5 spd

I picked this car up on here almost 5 yrs ago, at 169k miles thru a trade in Atlanta. I had the body gone over (hail dents) and had it repainted in the original hellrot red. An aftermarket M3 front bumper and fogs, and M3 mirrors were installed at the same time. I have a set of 1996 318ti rocker skirts (not twistys), red, not installed, they go with the car if I get my price.

First mod I did was to install a set of BavAuto Sport springs, car has Bilstein shocks and struts. Handling is very predictable and tight. Stock 3.45 open diff, but I have a 3.45 LSD that needs rebuilt. Goes with the car if I get my price.

I have tons of pictures of everything I have done over the years. within the last 10k miles I pulled the engine, shaved the head .020", reinstalled with new headgasket, coolant block pipe, water pump and tstat and radiator. I also replaced the oil filter housing bushing and o-rings. New rear main seal on the crank. new spark plugs and wires. There is a K&N filter and shrouded intake on the car, has been there since I got it. New fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. I also installed a new clutch kit and slave cylinder, new guibo and transmission bushings, new motor mounts at the same time.

15k miles ago I went thru the brake system and installed drilled/slotted rotors, ceramic pads and stainless brake lines. Fresh DOT4 fluid. At the same time I installed new front lower control arms, M3 factory caster (lollipop) bushings, new inner and outer tie rods, new OEM rear subframe bushings, and urethane rear trailing arm bushings. I have an AKG urethane rear diff bushing, not installed, goes with the car if I get my price.

In the last 2 months I have replaced the oxygen sensor (new), and the lower downpipe with catalytic convertor, and muffler from a lower mileage 1996 ti.

About 6 months back new DME.

New battery in the last month, PO gave me a new battery when I picked up the car almost 5 yrs ago, and it was just time for it.

Interior is full black leather, including full door panels. Driver seat shows the miles, the rest of the seats are like new. Passenger side is just starting to pull on the stitch seams on the bottom, rear seats great. Door panels have all clips. 318ti monogrammed factory floor mats in decent shape. Custom center console black leather armrest modded from 1992 325i.

Premium stereo system works great, Alpine CD player with Aux and USB/MP3. Sparco shift knob and anodized red pedals..same as when I picked up the car. Rear deck parcel shelf is there but needs TLC. Looks fine when the hatch is closed though. Steering wheel is leather but worn through on the top. Power windows and regulators are good, replaced completely with doors from a 1996 318ti with 169k on it. Car has a sunroof and it works perfectly. Headliner is sagging (it IS a ti) Cruise control works perfectly. OBC has no blown pixels and works perfectly.

Has factory Alpine alarm and keyless entry, and all the pin switches and horn. I never had the key fob though.

The paint is driver quality, and I spend a lot of the time on the road in the car. There are numerous chips from road debris. Looks great from 5 ft though, and shines when clean.

Doors are hellrot from a 1996 ti, could be buffed to match.

DePo glass dual projectors, 4300k HID low beams, and 9005 hyper white high beams. M3 fog lights are yellow.

Wheels on the car are SSR Type C 15x7, with new Falken tires. Lightest forged aluminum wheel you can buy at 10.5lbs each. Car feels AMAZING with these wheels.

*issues to be dealt with*

-Windshield is cracked, been driving that way for quite a while. I have a new one and a seal. Goes with the car.

-AC system was removed en-bloc from the car when I pulled the engine. Compressor is plugged, lines, condensor, accumulator and all are out. All shrouds and everything complete. Goes with the car.

-needs new Bowden cable for hot/cold door on HVAC..not fixable, needs replaced. I have sourced the parts on here.

-ignition barrel spins. EWS still functions with the key in, I start the car with the ignition switch externally. Just swap in a new ignition..common issue.

that is all I know of, I believe in full disclosure so if you have a question, just ask me. I love this car..would keep it forever if I could, but I'm out of room in the driveway with all my other projects waiting in the wings.

This car is so fun to drive. I drive it like an enthusiast, and maintain it like the professional mechanic I am (or used to be anyway). I get 25+MPG on my commute to and from work which includes a few 6000 rpm 2nd and 3rd gear on ramp runs, at least once or twice a day. 30+ MPG on long highway trips.

I would not hesitate to jump in this car and drive 500+ miles in a day..or more. Avg 360-420 miles on a tank of 89.

In short, she's not a show car, but she is strong and reliable, and a great daily that you won't cringe at a rock chip.

And you will enjoy it. It is basically a new car, damn the mileage, it's just a number anyway

226k currently and going up everyday. price for this forum only.. with my extra parts and the SSR wheels $4000.00

I'll pull the SSRs and include the rest of parts with a set of Active wheels and tires $3500

located in Myrtle Beach, SC 29588

**Cliffs notes** 1995 318ti, 226k miles, all new underneath and underhood. M3 body parts. SSR wheels, Bilstein suspension.
You should buy it.

The Ti is gone, traded yesterday for Porsche 944.

Many parts, including rebuildable 3.45 LSD still available.

Were those headlight squirters on the front trim panel above the bumper?

projekt EPiK 03-04-2015 05:19 PM

It was a Euro panel, on the car when I got it, but no washers there
