Engine?? Gas?? HELP...
 

Hello pros... I need your help, Need to this so i apologize in advance if not enough info id given....

long story short... While driving my 1995 318ti on the FWY for about 30min,, heard a clicking noise and sure enough was coming from engine car had no oil at all.... :mad::confused: :eek: . got to the nearest auto parts and add some motor oil.. :biggrin::wink: car was working fine no problem.. Two days after a nice wash car started sounding and gas pedal feeling like gas was not flowing properly.. dont know how to explain with better words sorry... so went back home and park the thing.. two days after took it for a 30 min ride to a friends ...car was fine until i descided to go home... looks like after it warms up or runs for a while the car stars shaking bad real bad sounds like gas is not flowing right??? stays on and starts no problem??? did i kill the engine?? is it the heads:frown::frown: PLEASE HELP... Sorry you're having bad luck here. Video and post the engine sounds as it's occurring. How long did you run without oil you think? :eek:

do you have oil leaks?
I had valve cover and front crank seal leaks that cause it to run out of oil after 3k with no oil change.
I fixed oil leaks and change oil at 2k never go under full on the dip stick.

If car ran good after adding oil then runs real bad after a car wash check your DME compartment and see if you have a plugged drain and the DME got wet. This is only if the car ran good with no clicking noise after you refilled the oil. If it still makes noise after oil level is full then you most likely have a mechanical issue caused from running the motor without oil which is a problem that will not repair itself. Since you stated the car works fine at times then runs like crap it is most likely electrical since water is causing the issue. Could also be fuel related like a colgged fuel filter but I would start with electrical.

Is there a CEL and if there is what codes?
