Thanks you guys...I think this will be his best birthday present...besides me going to see him on Sunday of course...:biggrin:

He also got into the automotive school at the prison. Right now he's just waiting for a spot to open up. We're thinking in the next week or two. I'm proud of him. :smile: And except for the theft BS that they dismissed he's been doing a great job of staying out of trouble so hopefully he'll get accepted into community corrections when he's eligible in a couple of months. I'll have you guys write a flood of support letters and maybe they'll let him go to a halfway house. That would be awesome! :smile:

Holy cow... Is it possible that something useful and productive will come of this experience? I guess there's a first time for everything, eh?

I hope so. It will definitely help him get a job or his old job back as an Automotive Tech. He was already pretty good at learning on the fly! I think this is mostly body shop too so he's pretty excited. There's a lot of work he can do on the side too. It will help with the halfway house for sure. They are revoking a lot of parolees right now for being unemployed because they can't pay for their beds...yikes a lot of people can't find jobs and it's a stupid reason to send someone to prison...but it's all about the money they make off these guys.

That's cool - there is alway$ $omebody who need$ dent$ repaired.
