FS: M44 DASC in SE Michigan (Price Reduced)

Hi all,

Up for sale is my M44 Downing Atlanta Supercharger (DASC) kit. This is a complete system that was fitted to my 1997 318ti including all parts necessary for a smooth install. Replacing inline four M44 with inline six S52, so ... everything must go!

Kit includes:
- DASC Supercharger (Eaton M62)
- DASC Intake Manifold
- Full M44 Intake w/ DASC adapters and K&N Air Filter
- Auxiliary Fuel Pressure Regulator (AFPR)
- Throttle cable
- Drive Belt Idler Pulleys
- Drive Belt
- Fuel, Vacuum and Radiator Hoses
- Any additional M44 parts you might need, just ask

Bought the car with supercharger last spring. Kit was installed by original owner before moving to second owner that used it as a commuter. Has at least 125,000 miles and I would recommend a rebuild to anybody looking to use this kit as it's intended ...

$3,000 seems to be the going rate for these on the forum. With mileage / rebuild in mind and in the interest of getting this out the door to help with my build, I'm asking $2,750 OBO $2,250 OBO for the complete kit.

PM or e-mail if interested.

I bet the supercharger is still in good condition. These DASC chargers are cast by Magnuson and use all Eaton parts. I ran my DASC with a 2.8" pulley which put the SC at 16psi @ 15,000 rpm (supercharger redline per Magnuson is 15K). Oh did mention I sprayed a bunch of methanol through the SC and it never hurt the coating Heck I even ran Nitromethane through that DASC, all that talk of meth/water spray damaging the sc coating was a bunch of BS, it was a different issue that caused the coating to flake. My DASC was retired around 173K miles (went turbo). I sold it to a employee at Metric Mechanic and it was disassembled and it needed nothing. These are tough superchargers and last as long as the air is clean going in them. Dirt and sand will destroy any SC.

Well off my soap box. Best of luck with the sale
