Keys lost ! any help?

Hey, well i lost my keys on a fire dept call and it was the only set i had , what are my options here? My car is stuck at the fire dept right now cause i dont have a spare!

Thanks

If you lost your keys and the chances of you finding them are slim, you will have to go to a BMW dealer and order a new set. I think a new key is gonna cost you around $60-$80.

ooo ok, what do i need just the vin?

wolferj-RIP 12-10-2011 06:32 AM

should be vin# and proof of ownership (i.e. registration) I believe...

Vin, proof of registration, and driver license. Also I don't know if this concerns you but the registered owner has to go and purchase they key. By this I mean that if the car is registered under another name, e.g. your dad, than your dad has to go get. I only say this because of experience, my Ti was registered under my dads name.

ok cool, and you may have a another ti in denver soon if i decide to go there! haha

elchicano 12-10-2011 07:06 AM

Dude we are trying to get the old crew back together, plus I'm looking for a new Ti. But if you show up in Denver hit me up, we got alot of future drives/meets in the works.

yeah just title and driver lic, i lost my key about 2 years ago and they charged me 125$ for the nnew one and took 3 days

teetime4one 12-10-2011 03:45 PM

yeah, a new key would be your only option at this point. they are a bit spendy at about $100.00 each...but i'd recommend buying two so this isn't a future problem.
also, come to Denver and join our little set...good times!

thanks guys, i ordered it today at bmw, was $70.00 not to bad i guess, hopefully all my keys are the default ones. And yea that be cool, also any reviews of university of denver ? may be transferring there

elchicano 12-10-2011 08:21 PM

DU I heard its a really good school. Some of my professors did their grad work at DU. I go to CU Denver a lot cheaper than DU ha! What are you majoring in?

B3n 12-10-2011 08:24 PM

oh nice i was gonna go there too but i dont think they have anything in the engineering field, also i thought the private schools may give more money to out of state students.

elchicano 12-10-2011 08:29 PM

I dont know about that and yeah cu denver isnt known for engineering. Have you thought about the school of mines in golden? I have a couple of friends that go there. One already graduated with a petroleum engineering degree. He is currently in dallas banking in the money. Ha!

B3n 12-10-2011 08:35 PM

haha yea i looked at that school, its like 80% guys have to pass on that one haha. But yea I was going to go to boulder but it was wayyyyyy to expensive

elchicano 12-10-2011 08:38 PM

Yup boulder is expensive, plus i have heard from other students that cu denvet is better when it comes to class size and quality of classes. The only bad thing is that its a commuter school so you dont really get the real college experience.
