Well, I cant read the website, so its hard to tell what exactly they are selling, is it just the manifold, or the whole turbo? Looks like the whole thing. I also am not sure how many US dollars are in a euro.

318iS 01-28-2007 02:11 AM

supercharger is way overpriced.....

nice turbo stuff tho..... its good to see stuff like that available for 4 bangers....

ciao nuvola,
proprio l'altro giorno guardavo i collettori di scarico della racetech sul loro negozio ebay,
hai notato i perfetti replica supersprint stradali a 299????

dici che bucano molto ai bassi????

316i compact 02-13-2007 12:07 AM

You guys from italy, how much is the supersprint exhaust manifold for the M44 there?

Prada 02-13-2007 09:22 PM

about 850 euro (1020 dollars)
but the racetech are the exactly reply of supersprint and cost 1/3....

hhspunter 02-18-2007 05:39 PM

the wastegate design isn't very good on that first manifold

pdxmotorhead 02-18-2007 05:58 PM

I can have a local guy fab a exhaust for < $1000 US, and it will be all stainless. Tig welded, ceramic coated the works. Sure wouldn't fuss with ordering one...

The intake and exhaust manifold definately looks amazing. He does extremely good work. I imagine that pretty soon there will be some turbo M42s poping up in club racing.

The only SCCA class a turbo 318 would fit in would be SP, where it would get its tail kicked, and maybe ITE, Turbos are still the unwelcome stepchildren in club racing, Does NASA allow them? What are the rules?

I run in SM class. I think any add-on forced induction puts you in SM.

I'm having a temptation to buy this and try it starting turbo route:
http://www.racetech-development.com/...o_02-large.jpg
I've contacted them for more infos about motor mount problems, thickness of manifold and what turbo flange it has.
First thing that I say for sure now is that it has a T3 flange... so I need a great turbo with t3 flange for 200-220hp with 6-8psi max. If I'll start building it, it will be intercooled and maybe it will has oem filter airbox with a panel sport filter for oem look.

The only problem will be to find a T3 turbo that have a low spooltime and that makes boost soon for every day mid-revs driveability:biggrin: .

The specs I'm searching are:
200-220 hp; 6-8psi not more with intercooled; internal wastegate

Who can help me to find the correct turbo for my application? I'm not good reading turbo maps...
