cabin filters Hi guys. I've started to look around for cabin filters for my ti. Would anyone here know if our filter is the same as another make/model? Like if a Lexus something has the same filter as a Ford that would be the same as ours. I did a cross reference but it came up with company names not a make/model. Thanks |
I highly doubt it. Nearly every 318ti part is unique. You can buy them new for $8 each with free shipping ($16 a set) Check out ebay, here is a link to one, but plenty of people sell them for that price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E36-Cabi...-/131390937941 |
Just keep in mind that while they may "fit"... the cheap ones might not snap into the holder. I had to use wire to keep mine in place. |
I bought the cheap ones off eBay and had that issue. I was able to bend them to get them to stay but it took a while for them to stay there and not fall out. |
I found that Mann #cu10062 is a replacement for ours but I have not confirmed it yet. |
Gents... Where the hell is the cabin filter on these cars??? (new to the Ti) I looked under the dash behind the glove box & under the hood near the center grill near the wipers. No luck (( any help & pix please. TIA. |

Thank you, I will dig a bit deeper there. Looks like ya got your hands full there. |
It’s behind the harness and the black plastic cover, after that just shove hands in and replace. And thanks it’s the 3rd motor swap, mostly done now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...79ab02a7f1.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
