3 Attachment(s) done removing the AC system and test fitting the intercooler  |
Jean, do you think you can install it without removing the motor? If you can all props go to you. for me it was almost impossible to get the bolts on the manifold with the engine on a stand. Hope you figure it out. It should be possible if you don't heat wrap the manifold but that will create a lot of unwanted heat in the engine bay. There is still romm in there if you have a creative mind and small hands and make some special tools, just a bent wrench. Glad your underway....Looks good so far |
I'm gonna try but I think it would be easier to just remove the engine, but we'll see, plus I'm gonna replace all the gaskets and stuff so yeah, and I was planning on paiting the engine bay too, and I have to replace the clutch/flywheel and tranny |
I'd think with the hood you have you shouldn't need to worry so much about under the hood temp |
true but im gonna get the heat wrap anyways |

Don't get boost it comes with most boost controllers (Gizzmo is real nice), oil temp only if your tracking the car, water temp is nice. Fuel pressure for sure. On A/F I run a LM-2 which is real good it monitors everything and anything DME related and can run a guage. It also records runs then puts them on a SD card so you can graph and can look at everything. The LM-2 is the best tool tuning thing inside my car... |
That thing is sweet. I found this kit on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Innovate-Motor..._ai_-2_4_tit): is this what you have John? Looks like it includes also the OBD cable to connect the unit with the ECU... |

I monitor MAF, RPM, A/F, Knock sensors on hard wire real time and on OBDII I monitor injector load %, spark advance, throttle position. All the OBDII's can be changed to a full list of every function the DME monitors. It is the best thing I've ever owned and what Mark D and I use to tune these files were are putting out. If you go on a dyno there is no way they can hook up as many things as the LM-2 monitors. It's small and displays 4 values of your choice on a 4" screen, looks cool, logs to SD card to go to your computer or download over usb cable. Fully graphs to log works for easy indentification of what needs to be tweaked to gain more power. Knock sensors logs are great, you can see exactly what A/F and timing changes do to cause detonation. Worth every penny I spent on it. I use it on every program change to see what is happening. If the car runs a tiny funny I hit log and log what is going on. I would never be able to have tuned my car to were it is with a guy in Canada without this unit. It's tits |
john can u post some pics of ur whole interior setup? gauges and locations and stuff, im looking for some ideas, i dont wanna put any gauges on the A pilar, so i think im gonna delet the radio and put 3 gauges there and other 3 by the shifter but im looking for some other ideas |

Yes I will take them and post tonight. I've got a closing in Tampa on a 240 unit community so it might be real late. |
Jean here is a few pictures so you get the idea. The camera does not do it justice it looks way better in person. Sorry I had to take these at night it was a long day at work and I didn't get home till after dark Interior shots with flash on First is outside looking in http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...riorflash1.jpg Gauge pod. I removed the accessory tray and dropped the OBC down and mounted the gauges in a 3 position pod. Looks good. Also the LM-2 is to the right http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...riorflash2.jpg Rear seats OEM Leather in perfect conditon, behind rear seats are two 8" subs and 12 additonal speakers in the car. The race seats also have bass shakers on them which really put the thump in your body without blowing your ear drums http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...kSeatflash.jpg |
