JDT underpanel needed?

im about to purchase the front and rear bumpers from ddm tunning.

and was wondering if you guys recomend getting an underpanel. im in and out of the city of philadelphia. we probably have some of the worst roads in the country and need an opinion if i should dish out the extra 100 bucks. lmk what you guys think

I have read that the JTD underpanel is not as sturdy as the motion motorsport one because the JTD attaches to the crappy plastic that is already there. So if you're like every other E36 owner, that plastic is mangled and broken. The motion motorsport mounts to the frame of the car I believe.

Is your car lowered at all? Plenty of people just take the stock underpanel off and run nothing when it breaks. I would say if you are significantly lowered you might want one to protect your oil pan, but you could get a x-brace to do the same thing.

nah im at stock hieght right now, and don't plan on lowering for a while. so i might just run no panel then

I have been debating the underpanel for the m3 (as the plastic underparts are shredded...) also, and wonder about the attachment...
