I cruise ti listings just for fun. These guys get more ti's in for sale than anyone else in the nation as far as I can tell. They also advertise on Autotrader. Why 99 ti's did not all come with cruise control, I will never know.

I'd honestly dump my E46 to get back in a ti, but this is more than I want to spend. Having bought a pile of garbage with my last one made me gun shy.

Saw this one first hand...

I saw this one first hand-it came off a lot in Miami some time ago. Real mileage, ran well but had been whacked in the left rear side and the fix was sub-par. Look at the rear wheel well-maybe it's been rectified by now, depending on ES's interest. It got eBay'ed and shipped up to NC. Yes, ES has some ti's but I had a friend who lives up there go look at some of the others for me when I was shopping for a second. He said "pass on them". I bought locally and just finished it.

Shop around, and I think that you can get a nice one for 5k. I have never driven an e-46, but I would imagine that a ti is more responsive to the driver. They are really 1.9 Z-3's on a little longer wheel base. I read somewhere that they weigh about the same.

I retrofited mine, but it is a bit of a pain and somewhat pricy. BMW doesn't sell the retrofit kits anymore, so I went the salvage part route with the exception of the wiring harness which I bought new from BMW for about $100
I did as much of the installation as I could then took the rest to my indie BMW guy. Long story short, my total cost was about 1k. I'll bet you can do yours for cheaper than that. John

Oh wow, I didn't expect anywhere near that.

Is there a tutorial on retrofitting? I assumed I could just find a cruise car in the junkyard and transfer the moduler, harness, and controls over, then make it work on the S52 throttle mody.
