Red 96' 318ti California top

I am selling my red 1996 318ti California top. The details are as follows:

Upgrades:
OEM Slipstream package- a pop-up wind deflector for California top and pull down sunscreen for hatchback window, which pulls up and out of the hatch tray. Many Ti's that I have seen for sale are missing the hatch tray altogether. This upgrade is usually only seen on certain 99' Ti's as far as I know.
The wheels are upgraded from the originals to 16" 5-spoke off of a 2000 330i (I believe) and the Michelins have less than 15K on them.
The entire California roof assembly was replaced last year.

The car has been fitted for XM satellite and has a Kenwood CD/Mp3 in-dash stereo as well.
5-speed manual transmission
Car is clean overall with decent paint.
Interior is black cloth in good shape.
I have owned it since 2001 when it had 50K on the odometer.

I'll be posting some photos as soon as I can re-shoot them at 500x500 pixels.

I'm not interested in the car, but I would be interested in details about the winddeflector that you added to the cali roof and your impressions of it. TIA

The wind deflector itself is called a "slipstream kit" and costs around $200.00. It flips up when the roof is retracted and folds down under the roof when it closes. It comes with installation instructions as well.
The rear shade is part of the hatch tray that was originally available with "slipstream package" on some 98 & 99 model California roof Ti's. The hatch tray also runs somewhere around $200.00. There are two small holders that the screen seats into when it is pulled up from the hatch tray. They have to be retrofitted and are necessary in order to actually use the screen.

I have been happy with the retro-mod since it does reduce a certain amount of the windflow coming in from the front and the rear shade keeps the sun out in the back. IMO, it looks cooler too. I would certainly recommend getting and installing it. The maintenance on the wind deflector (if necessary...bugs, debris, etc.) is very easy. It simply slips out of its frame and can be washed with mild detergent. In the unlikely event that it gets torn or damaged, it can also be ordered seperately from the entire kit for about $80.00.

If you are considering getting it yourself, I can dig through my papers and find part #s and prices. As always, I use my BMW CCA membership discount card.

That would be great if you could find part numbers for the slipstream kit. I've been talking to my local dealership about it but they can't find the part numbers (they're not exactly the most competent parts guys either). Thanks.

shows the parts but I do believe there is a retro fit kit.
