Bronze wheels on Silver car?
 

So I picked up a set of BBS RK wheels but they look like someone stripped the finish off and then spray canned some silver back on. I figured I would get the wheels refinished before I put them on the car and get annoyed at looking at the shotty paint work. I am gonna get them powder coated but can't decide what color to get. People keep suggesting black or flat black but I don't like how it makes the wheel disappear. The shop that I was thinking of taking them to has a number of colors in stock but I am considering one of 3.

Black Chrome

Chrome Smoke

Bronze Metallic

The first 2 look like almost OE colors so I was thinking about the bronze so the car would stand out a bit. The problem is I can't picture what a silver car would look like with wheels that color. I know that it looks good on white/black/dark green cars but dunno about silver.

What do you guys think? Anyone have any pictures of a silver car with dark gold or bronze colored wheels?

the silver STIs look great with bronze and gold rims so the ti should look amazing :smile:

Bronze for sure! Chrome smoke is kind of cool too. Thanks for staying away from black wheels.:smile:

Chrome Smoke > Black Chrome > Bronze Metallic

If it were my car, I would only consider running silver w/polished lip on a silver car. But, it's your car so do what you like best.

I think they all would look good, but since you mention trying to stay away from the "OE colors," I'd go with bronze

Wow, that's the first pic that I've seen with the exact color I was looking at and I like what I see!

I'm not against a factory type of finish or color but I figure if I am gonna get them re-done, why have them look like I didn't do anything in the first place?
