Brake pedal shakes in snow...what it can be?
 

When I drive in dry condition I have never face this problem.
Yesterday coming from work (snowing in CT) I step the brake pedal all the way down the ramp in LOW speed. I felt the brake pedal SHAKE and a weird noise comming from under the front wheels.
After driving my car at 20 mph I brake many times everything ok. When I step the brakes all the way down again I felt the same shaking, rumbling feeling in the brake pedal. When I push the brake a little I didnt feel anything.
Today ( nice and sunny) I drove my baby again step in the brakes nothing wrong.
What issue I am dealing with?:frown:

It's called anti-lock brakes (ABS). It keeps the wheels from locking up. If you hear that, it means you should slow down.

I was less than 10 mph!!!!!! only happens when I was driving in snowy roads....:confused:

Just using my common sense I know that there is something wrong with the brakes ... I guess....just when I step all the way down the brake pedal in snow I feel that shaking and bumps feeling in my foot (that one in the pedal) seems that thecar car brake and get stauck with something... and I hear a weird humming sound front the hood.

yep, that would be the ABS pulsating your brakes (ie doing what they're supposed to do).

ABS and ASC-T kicking in.
I believe the owner's manual says to turn ASC-T off.

What tires are you running?
Seems odd to kick in that slow.

I am running 17's with Pirelli Super Sport.
It happend with the ASC on and ASC off..... I feels that something is being grinding under my brake pedal....

ABS works regardless of ASC. what kind of snow traction do you have? those don't sound like winter tires. if your traction is poor, the ABS will sense lockup and do exactly what it's doing.

Well they are Four season Tires. How this ASC thing work?
Why that rumble, shaking feeling and humming sound?
When I drive in snow goes normal or when I brake slow. just when I step all the way down with the brake pedal.
Why only when I brake?

Thanks Aceyx! I think ABS is what is happening but the shake is so violent that makes me think something is wrong!
I think I am wrong.

ASC is the traction control system and it utilizes ABS as well as throttle control. ABS operates on its own as well in braking situations where it senses the wheels locking up (therefore losing braking power/control).

i must say, the first time my ABS came on, it kinda freaked me out. it does seem like something is going wrong, but it's not :)

it's is not that violent. trust me. the one day that you're in the rain doing 35mph behind some guy who suddenly slams on his brakes and you slam on yours pressing all the way down and feel the ABS kick in and your car still continues to inch closer towards that idiot's bumper and the only reason you didn't hit him was because the guy changed his mind or whatever and starting driving again at the last second. . . then you'd really appreciate it.
