Any special considerations for a track oriented ti in the rear?
Weaknesses?
I'm familiar with the rtab pockets and subframe in the e36 coupe/sedan

The rear suspension can be a little bit “loose”. A product was developed, originally for the Z3, which has the same suspension....it is a metal brace that bolts on the bottom of the linkage, and really tightens it up. Much better turn-in. The website is strong-strut.com.

That's the first time I've seen this product. Doesn't seem like they have been widely used here. I wonder how well it does work. Seems like a good idea, but man that is pricey.

That's been around quite a while and it is reported to work well. Basically you are torqueing a pair of long (roughly) 1/2 inch bolts at the front mount, so tying the bottoms together makes sense.

An improvement would be to then tie the strut to the body somewhere forward of the suspension, but I don't know where.

As it is, I think any decent shop could fab one up. It's not particularly difficult, but do remember to change to longer bolts so you don't reduce the thread engagement.
