GROUP BUY: VIS Carbon Fiber Hatch $500
 

this thread is ONLY to indicate your commited interest in buying a VIS carbon fiber hatch. here is the information we have from VIS:

all posts not indicating a commited interest will be deleted. we need 25 people willing to put down $250 deposits and $500 total for a CF hatch. please indicate what number you are - i'll start the tally.

i updated the first post of the thread to indicate that questions should be posted in another thread, this is only for posting your commitment to buy. sorry for the confusion, but i'm deleting all questions from this thread. i've sent email to VIS to find out about shipping to the UK also.

the factory hatches themselves are not that heavy - its the glass that more than doubles the weight - i would get this CF trunk and swap out the rear hatch glass for something lighter... that would really take some weight off of the car.

of course then, we would all really be tail light - but doing the hood and more would sure get us light - i've had my car 2530 before and could see how it may be easily 2400 with cage if good attention was given to all parts.

Have any of the hatches been delivered yet? Is VIS going to make the hatches as a regular product or was this just a one time deal?
