I do occassionally. I don't have broadband at home (except on the occassion I tether my cellphone to my computer), so I don't play online much unless I'm at a friends or my aunt's. And while I do play Halo, my preferred games tend to have something to do with cars (Forza 2, PGR, etc). GT is Borg561 if anyone wants to add me.

Edit: Looks like I won't be playing any retail games anytime soon. Seems like my drive crapped out on me. It won't read any game discs or DVDs. It's out of warranty too, so I haven't decided if I want to send it in or buy a new one. Main issue if I send it in and get a different one back (or buy a new one) is that I'll have to be connected to Live! to play any of my arcade games.

led_zeppelin84 03-31-2008 07:36 PM

lol, awreddy, yeah its all slang...bill can be singles too...like twenty bills? but yeah 3 bills would be 3 hundred, but if I was saying 100 dollars, I'd say 100 bills or bones, it wouldn't be a 100 grand cuz thatd be 100 large...that's how I sling it....

thesk8nmidget 03-31-2008 07:42 PM

well just up until about a month or two ago the warranty was only a year but with a lot of complaints and probably some legal doings they decided to help the community out and extend to 3 years

thesk8nmidget 03-31-2008 08:01 PM

The warranty was bumped to 3 years back during the middle of last year. I want to say July.

Also, if you spent 100$ to get a previously out of warranty, or know of someone that did, tell them to contact MS and they will get a refund. They are refunding anyone that paid the "out of warranty" fee. You just have to contact them to get the refund.

And there is no fix as of yet for the having to play arcade games on live after having your box replaced. Some people have had luck with rebuying the games and then having MS credit their live account though.

Oh yeah.. forgot to mention, the 3 year warranty is for general hardware failures. Not sure if they will warranty a drive past the 1 year mark.

well, my bro called when we first caught wind of the warranty extension and they gave hiim some bullsh** story run around about how the problem that he had wasn't covered by the warranty since the infamous ''three red dots'' weren't present...they were two separate issues due to the hardware...we were like ''well, if one problem is covered due to faulted hardware, why wouldn't another problem due to THE SAME FAULTED HARDWARE be covered?'' the reps response...''it only covers the red dot problems''. f-ing microsoft

thesk8nmidget 03-31-2008 08:49 PM

well they are losing a lot of money (not like it matters) due to poor design.
so im sure they wil try and keep every penny they can
