Alarm set and no key fob on BMW 325I

Just bought a used 95 BMW 325I (with no key fob) and had no idea that the alarm would blast after we had to replace the battery.
:confused:Mmm...is there a workaround or are we basically gonna have to get a get the key fob before we can move the car?
My husband is stuck at his mother's right now because of this problem!

Not sure, but here's a few things that may help. There might be different solutions depending on if the alarm is factory BMW or aftermarket.

Will the car start with the alarm going off? If so, maybe you'll have to find the alarm speaker and disconnect it.

Thanks

I appreciate your response, or should I say my husband will:biggrin:. Thanks again!

Oh, and the car won't start even if the car alarm is going off.

Actually, it will (if the alarm is factory)

Inserting the key in the ignition and turning it turns off the alarm.

If the car won't start and the alarm doesn't turn off after doing that, then something else is wrong.

If an aftermarket alarm, they should just find the speaker and disconnect it until they figure out what's wrong - first place to check - under the hood.

as what zboot said if it is factory put the key in the ignition and turn on if after market look for the speaker and unplug and hope it doesn thave a starter kill. if it does then you need to go under the dash and search for the starter wire and see if it has a break it in and wires going into it for the alarm and bypass it.

if the after market alarm ends up not lettign you start the car let me know and i'll look in my work database and tell you exactly what the starter wire will look like

EDIT:
WIRE________________COLOR_________LOCATION
Constant 12V+_______Red/White_______Ignition Switch Harness
Starter_____________Black/Yellow______Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition_______________Green_________Ignition Switch Harness

if worse come to worse and you cant figure it out and it wont start what you should do is turn the key on and then

locate the starter wire and constant and short them together for a breif moment and have the car startthat way.
