New ti owner from Chicago Hey all. Just picked up my first BMW, an Alpineweiss 96 318ti Sport, coming from a history of mostly Japanese cars. Picked it up as a project as it has a cranking, but no start condition and other issues with it. Was lurking on here for awhile researching the issues before making the purchase. Hopefully it wont be a bad decision, lol. I've always liked the shape of the ti, so I'm gonna try and revive, and enjoy it. Thanks everyone! |

Welcome! I'm in the city with my Cali top TI. Let me know if you ever need anything! These are super fun cars. |
FunElan, thanks for the offer! BTW, do you have an Elan? Or what is the story with your username? Edit: I just saw your sig. Pretty cool! |
Welcome. It wasn't a bad decision. I grew up in Chicago area. Couldn't stand rusted out cars so moved out West. (not to mention the weather) Good luck! |

Cheers, I just joined also. Enjoyed my ti for years and glad you chose it instead of continuing with Japanese cars. I think you’ll find German cars make better sounds and can do donuts unlike a Integra or prelude. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
