96 318ti Sport package M50 swap - Sold
 

Long time lurker selling my beloved "325ti."

Downsizing the fleet. Car was a German delivery ti, Imported in 1998. Engine swap by previous owner.

1996 Sport package car with Black interior. M50 installed, along with 6cyl vented front brakes, from a 94 325. Stock ti trans, driveshaft and rear. AC & Heat work.

It runs and drives well, and has been a hoot to drive these last 10 years.

New Tires, headliner. Window regulators have been replaced in the last couple of dozen uses. Car cleans up nice, but has its fair share of scratches and dings. Not a garage queen, but not beaten either. Projector lights with glass lenses. Comes with extra door panels, rear seat, front seats, front bumper cover, and valence.

Very nice car! Tried PM'ing but wouldn't let me. No A/C due to the swap I assume? How many miles on the chassis?

Has AC and heat, both work. Last reported miles before swap was 240k, Engine has 170, I bought it at about 150k. Instrument cluster is from donor car and reflects mileage on engine.

Very clean 318ti, couldn't even tell it had that kind of milage on her.

She took a good pic, but she had her share of imperfections. Car sold locally for 6k.

Did you ever have any issues with the small case diff with the 6 cylinder.

No, but the m50 only adds about 40 hp. An S54 would probably be trouble.

I'm not much of a hoonigan, just enjoyed the "bit more" the m50 added to the ti. Really woke that car up without making it unmanageable.

BMW really should have introduced it with a 6 in the US market.
