Looking for some rarer e36 parts.

Looking for a Manual window setup for a Ti Hatch.

I am done with the problematic electrics. I am at the point of replacing a butchered door for a another from a working Ti, but I am afraid of going though this hassle again. Still same problem, Window bounces out of track when it's down and the door is shut. Adjusting the arms works for a short time, but so many fixes have distorted the whole system.

Me thinks going to basemodel might be a way around the problem.

So I would need the working from a 318ti or 316i with manual windows, I know some canadian models came with them, or should I get them from Germany directly?

Might want to dig around on www.car-part.com. It's a national salvage yard part database. You can search for stuff near you.

Also www.realoem.com/bmw has some good parts diagrams w/ parts numbers.

Crank / Motor Assembly - 318ti

Door Trim Panel - 318ti

Crank / Motor Assembly - 316i

Door Trim Panel - 316i

Looks like only the 316i lists a part number for a mechanical/crank window mechanism.

what would the weight differance be, between the two setup?

Probably not a significant weight savings (maybe even heavier) as the 1995 M3 LTW (lightweight) had aluminum door skins, but electric windows...
