Oxygen Sensor replacement So, at the cost of sounding like an idiot ... I'm currently trying to replace my O2 sensor. I've got a new one (95 OBD1). I've got the car on stands. The electrical plug comes off fine, but the sensor itself isn't budging. I tried letting it sit with some PB Blaster. Still nothing. I can get to it at exactly 1 angle with a 22mm wrench (since it's up there on top of the exhaust) but it's on there TIGHT. So before I did anything stupid like jury rig more torque into the situation, I wanted to make sure ... which way to turn it. Do I go lefty-loosey assuming I'm looking at the sensor from the top through the floor of the car? |
Normal direction. I snap the ceramic bit off and use a socket and breaker.. or a pipe wrench.. |
Took a pipe wrench and my foot last time I did one. They get really stuck in there. |
