e30 LSD 3.64, any good for a stock 95 ti? My 95 sport's diff is making a shhhh noise, i think i've killed it. oops. Found a 3.64 LSD for sale for £245.00. Also an e30 M3 LSD 3.25 for £325. which would be better? i would presume the 3.64 as i would gain acceleration, but the m3 LSD might provide better handling? i dont know. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/114256.htm I would love to hear some ti owner's opinions. also, would the rack in the advert be any good for a ti. I was planning to do a z3 rack swap next year. |
e24 3.46 is better IMO, but with the 4cyl the 3.64 will not be too bad. More civil on the highway than the 3.73. |

I was running a 3.64 LSD diff for a bit with my 4 cyl. It was amazingly quick through the gears but a little high on the RPMs on the highway (4000 @ 80mph). I removed it when I went to the M50. My 3.64 is available if you want it. $200. |

You probably don't want the 3.25 because of price and the fact that it is a taller ratio than a stock US 318ti (don't know about UK tho.) Go for the 3.64. It'll give you better acceleration and LS. -Paul |
