Door panel clips I am replacing a couple of the door panel clips that attach the panel to the door. The problem is one of the blocks that the clips attach to separated from the door panel. Can anyone recommend a good adhesive to reattach the plastic block to the door panel? |
I would say Gorilla Glue...but I can never get it to set right(It's the water part prob I fudge with) my friend can use it, and it's sets like concret with his skill. |

I asked a garage and they told my windshield adhesive. I am going to see what that stuff is all about too. |
The whole car is designed so great but BMW must have had subcontracted the power windows and door panels out to a Chinese corporation. :) |
I've used epoxy and it seems to work fine. I roughend up the mating surfaces with sandpaper first. |

i used super glue and it stuck very well |
Epoxy Putty works well... Dave |
JB Weld. |
A friend gave me a tube of "Amazing GOOP" (contact adhesive). It took 24hrs to setup totally but it dries clear. It has a similar texture to the factory adhesive when it dries. It doesn't total cure until 72hrs. It seems to be holding very well so far. |
I've used Goop. I've used JB Weld. Nothing has worked for me. |
ive got a similar problem. since i bought my car my passenger side panel has been very loose. i think a couple of the clips have separated( i can see inside the panel/door) so if you find something that holds, let me know cause this has been annoying me |
Duct Tape? :) I'd go with regular Super Glue.. the stuff has never failed me. |
The "Goop" is still holding well for me. I think if the secret is to scuff and clean the surfaces well. |
