Reattach Vapor Barrier
 

What type of adhesive did you use to properly reattach the vapor barrier that sandwiches between the door and the door panel?

There bits and pieces left that could temporially hold mine in place to reattach the door panel, but I'd like to reseal it as inteded, but not where it will not come off again in the future without tearing.

Nothing I found via search, I'll check other forums as well.

Spray adhesive that is sold in an aresol can.

Ah, thanks! Actually i just ordered some 3m strip caulking. It comes in 1ft lengths and is pliable and close to the original adhesive as original. I wanted to be able to remove the vapor barrier in the future without damaging it.

That will work well on the foam liner. Might rip the plastic liner under it though.

Thanks Justin! Mine has the foam liner but no evidence of a plastic liner on my 95' doors. Was there a plastic liner originally under the foam one. I figured the intact foam one served that purpose. (hence wanting to get it back in-place and sealed properly)

Also, my 95 didn't have a separate plastic sheet, just the foam liner.

Nice! Got my 3M Strip Calk yesterday. Here's what the box looks like.
