Aftermarket Springs with an m52

So the final step to my m52 swap will be brakes and springs.

I'll be going with e36 vented brakes in front and leaving the back, more thank likely, with nice pads and ss lines.

However, in looking for springs, I'm not sure what I want to do. I don't like the base springs, especially in the rear, I feel like I am rally crossing, but I also don't like the car riding on the wheels. I've just never liked stanced... Also, I will be running these on blistein sports, which I got with the car.

I was reading up on the Vogtland springs and really liked the 1.4" drop and generally the look on other Bmws. I have never seen them on a ti.

However, I found a post where someone said they were selling their vogtland for h&r race because they did the m52 swap.

In conclusion, my main question is does the added weight of the m52 have any real effects on the effective spring rate of the more aggressive progressive springs?

As a side question, and really just out of curiosity, why does ground control not recommend bilstein for their coilover conversion kit?

Thanks,
Duncan

Aftermarket Springs with an m52

I ran H&R Sports and Koni Sports in my M44-equipped ti and really liked them. Then I swapped in an M52 and didn't like how low it made the front sit. So I found a set of Eibach springs for a 6-cylinder E36 on Craigslist and swapped the fronts in (left the H&R Sports in the rear). I really like how it sits/rides now with this setup. YMMV.
