A newbie with a TI and questionms

Hey Guys,

well...I am coming back to BMW with a 318ti.

Its a 96 with a 5 speed manual and 148km.

The car has a couple issues (window scissors in-op and rear bearing).

Just wondering what issues is the TI known for ??

also...any idea what the bearing will put me back in terms of cost.

The more info the better...

thanks

TIpunk

i would go on to getbmwparts.com, its a dealership parts department that sells OEM BMW parts online. they have a lot of parts available.

as far as know issues with the ti, i'm not really certain on what parts will give you problems, but i know you should check over your suspension and engine/exhausts for problems. if you do all maintenance the ti will last even longer.

welcome to the forum

overheating, something in the cooling system will let go, usually the radiator or the plastic coolants fittings mounted on the back of the head and the side of the block
