She is also Miss October in this years calendar:D |
I think you're asking waaaay too much. For one it's an automatic and secondly, it's over ten years old. The mileage is good, but I don't think you'll be able to get the amount that you've put into it in mods. The car looks great, but keep in mind that the blue book is about $4k. I bought mine a couple of months ago for $4150. It's a 97 Sport with a new motor. It has 130k miles but the motor only has 20k. Not to mention it's a 5 speed. There's ti's with 3.2l swaps selling for less than you're asking. If I had to guess, I'd say that you might be able to get $6500 for it, but thats being optimistic. Anyway, I didn't mean to crap on your sale, I hope you do get what you're asking, but you might want to consider lowering the price a little. You'll get more offers that way, otherwise you might have to wait a pretty long time before anyone bites. Good luck on the sale. |
i agree, your asking quite a bit. generally expect to get about half as much as what you paid for the mods. so say its a 4 grand car base, you might get 7 grand if your lucky but i think that too is optomistic. i think the automatic tranny is what brings down the value a lot in my eyes but i will say that picture in the calander is one of my favorite shots |
Well, thank you guys for your honesty and insight. I have been driving around with for sale signs on the car for just 2 days and have already had 5 calls for it. I'm in no hurry to sell her. I actually did not want to sell but I'm moving to Jacksonville, Fl in 6 months. I will think about dropping the price in about the next month or so. Anyone else have any input for me? |
Put her back to stock, you'll be able to sell her easier and let the vultures here have a crack at your aftermarket parts, I am sure we'll all snap them up fast for you. BTW, that is if you still have most of the original parts, if not - you can trade with the buyer. Good luck and what's your future ride? |
you have sweet car y you selling it and are you thinking of selling the 18"OZ Mito |
*descends like a vulture* Sell your Hartge spoiler seperate? Hahaha. |
Post some pics? |

That would be a good idea but most of my stock pieces have been sold. Once I sell the ti and my 1995 Land Rover Disco, I will jump into a E46 M3 (2001-2003) Quote:
I'm selling because I am moving in 6 months, have 3 cars and 2 payments. The only way I keep the Mito's is if they will fit a E46 M3, if they don't fit, I will sell them. Quote:
Haha, maybe for $9000 I think it looks great on the ti Quote:

I wish. God, I want that spoiler... Good luck with the sale, man. |
Good luck.. but as mentioned $9000 is a lot. I think the Mitos will fit, because regular (non M) E46 wheels fit, but M's don't because they're too wide (?). |
Thanks everyone for your input. I will keep everyone posted. |
If you are in no rush to sell you will be able to ask top dollar. While the automatic is going to be a bad selling point to people on here you will find that most people like automatics... I guess that may be different for BMW people as just about everyone I know prefers a manual over auto in BMWs. Easily 5 or 6k... If you can hold off for a few months and find that one buyer that really loves the car maybe more. Your biggest issue is that most people looking to buy a Ti like yours are probably going to be younger buyers that will need to finance the entire price. Not a lot of banks are going to finance that old of a car at much over 5k. Keep the asking price at 8.5 or 9k and let the buyer haggle you down. If somebody asks just make sure you tell them you can come down in price if they close the deal quickly. |
Can we get some pics of the inside too? :) |
