FS: 1998 BMW 318ti 5 Speed Not Running

My dear, beloved 318ti suffered some variety of catastrophic engine failure (the dramatic interpretation) and I have exhausted my financial ability to resuscitate her. The mechanic said that three of the cylinders have no/low compression, but I'm not sure how reliable he was. We don't have a warm garage or the time to look for more answers, so I must let the car go.

The car is in Ypsilanti, MI. It is black with black leather. It has the M Sport package. I really, truly love this car. It must find a new home, and before I let a salvage yard tow it away, I hope someone else who needs the parts or who can find the time to fix it can take the car. It has just shy of 186,000 miles. The clutch was replaced at about 116k if I recall correctly. Leather, seat heaters, cruise, sunroof, cd changer. Glass is good except the windshield. Some rust, as the car lived in Michigan. The car also has a salvage title because it was doinked by a garbage truck in December of 2010. This car is in no way in perfect condition. I am simply of the mind that other enthusiasts should have a chance to hear about it before it goes to the junk yard.

The tires are in great condition as I just replaced them one year ago before driving across the country four times. They have about ten thousand miles on them.

If you are interested or if you'd like to make an offer, please send an email to allisonawesome@gmail.com and I will get back to you quickly. The car must be towed away.

I will post some pictures soon. Conversely, if anyone reads this and has advice for having the car towed away, please let me know. Thank you!

For the time being, you can find some pictures on the ebay classified post I put up. I put a high asking price just to avoid the obnoxious folks who patrol for cheap stuff. Open to offers of course.
