Idk you prolly are right about the FC have 6 port but idk I do know it is avaliable in the rx8 renesis or something that's what my friend is doing why I thought to ask lol and the technical exercise makes since I'm trying to do something that too lol but not a wankel haha. That is something else I've been told is they are cheap and not to hard to rebuild was told cheaper than build my old SBC's idk about that I know it's cheaper than my Chevy DZ 302 but would be sure about being than my 350 since it's plain nothing special. But I guess that's where the hp per liter comes into play you talked about.

Crashaddict 04-23-2012 07:07 PM

The motor is also smooth and revs to hell, back and then back to hell again without missing a beat...i guess you can say i am smitten with this motor, i think the only way to describe it is NEAT.....what are your plans for a swap? and yeah, the renesis wasnt made with Performance as the most important factor as it was in the 13b-rew

POCti 04-23-2012 07:44 PM

I ge it now it's same motor but have few differences to make one a lil more performance oriented. My swap is a plain 2.5 for but later wanna research crank and road ect combos to build motor like I want not a stroker but kinda opposite direction almost like my old chevy 302 that's my motor I'm taken with lol. And other vehicles I'm working are pretty plain except the z/28. Also been talking and toying with idea of an ls 302 lol but so far it's failing. Don't get me wrong I do like wankel and have wanted one for awhile just no good reason now since I have to many projects as is lol. In away the 302 similar to wankel short stroke high reving and over looked by alot of people but it stops there lol.

Crashaddict 04-23-2012 09:32 PM

haha, a bit of a stretch...just about 5x the displacement and high revving for an american V8 i suppose, dont they max out around 7k? like i said, i have lots of love for high revving v8s(s65), but those are not very common

Actually redline was 8grand I no not much difference but for old v8 from 1966 that's good and some work would go higher I believe even some formula one cars ran then and at higher rpm I'm sure. And yes I know it's a stretch but mean both are over looked for larger displacement motors almost everyone that sees my 69 says it needs a 502 or some bull crap. That was meant for road racing that defeats purpose of the car.

My bad about pics I'll quit spamming your build thread.

Crashaddict 04-24-2012 02:45 AM

No worries, its the most action this thread has seen In a while LOL

very cool! its a pretty straightforward process from here on out, it took a lot of trial and error up to this point, but now, i have all the parts together and all the fabrication done, so it shouldnt be too much longer till its done!
