electrical solutions for obd2 318ti m52 swap

i have an obd2 1997 318ti that i want to do a motor swap in
i live in NY so i want to keep it obd2 so i can pass emissions
i found a donor 1996 328is i know if i do the swap i will either have to have the ews2 system recalibratesd at the dealer-wondering if this is legal and how expensive-or i can cut and splice a few wires at the ews box and use a maroon dme or get an ews delete chip that also remaps right??
any help is apreciated

You don't have to do anything on wiring, it is all plug and play. The DME will have to be flashed for the swap. Send me personal message for more information

Hakentt-MS41.1 AKA revlimit is a scam artist and cannot be trusted! he is banned from every BMW community forum I think of. He should be banned from here too. Flynn If you need EWS removed contact me at midnight-tuning@rogers.com

thanks for the heads up but i think im gonna swap the ews dme and key chip all from the same car(i have the donor car so y not) so i dont have to flash or recalibrate anything and the dealer wont be involved

ya i dont know why more people dont do it that way, do u think its because ppl don't always have a donor car or do they like deleting the ewe or something
i thought my way would be alot easier but am i overlooking something

lot's of reasons for deleting EWS over the electrical swap. I get requested all the time for crashed and burned M3's. The DME is like a black box on a plane it can handle a lot of madness before it dies. A lot of guys also want a DME with street tune and spare dme with Track tune. it's a easy swap with no EWS :)

ooo ok thanks for the info but im keeping my car on the road for the most part and i want it to start every morning so I'm gonna keep it pretty close to stock although ive been thinking about an m50 intake and s52 cams that would be fun with a performance chip

could you guys kindly explain a newbie like me what is EWS and DME please? >.<
i'm thinkin for a swap, cannot supply a donor car since i'm importing an m52 engine since none exists in my country, my car is a 318ti '95 (pre-facelift)

cheers!

Hey guys just wondering how this swap went and if you had any issues with emissions or anything. I have a 99 318ti with a downing atlanta charger on it but theres something wrong with the dme and i'm starting to think an m52 swap is the right direction but i live in ontario canada so i still need emission as well.
