FS: 1996 Hellrot 318ti 186k mi, good condition + LSD

Copying and pasting from my CL add, so you'll have to pardon the obvious 318ti statements. I bought a newer car to daily drive, so this car has seen limited use for the last year. Time to sell and free up some garage space. I occasionally drive it to work.

Good condition for age and mileage.
Factory LSD from '95 318ti.

Details:
Bought the car 6 years and 50k miles ago. Performed both routine and e36 BMW specific maintenance on the car during my ownership. Car is stock with the exception of eibach sway bars and a limited slip differential from a ‘95 318ti (stock parts available).

The good:
Runs and drives well. Good gas mileage (~30mpg in mixed driving). Compact and fun to drive. The rear seats fold down making the hatchback great for transporting large and bulky items. Nearly new tires (less than 1000mi). Functional ABS. Clean interior. No accidents (all body panels match). Clean title. Second set of OEM wheels available with car (perfect for snow tires). Aftermarket cd player with aux input. No DTCs (check engine light not illuminated).

The bad:
Paint isn’t perfect. One small rust bubble on one of the rear wheel arches. Clear coat peeling on one part of the hatchback (trunk) lid. Shifter bushings could use to be replaced. A/C operates but cycles on and off due to the charge being low. Some shudder from the clutch/flywheel. One of the two ignition keys is worn and does not operate the driver and passenger door locks, but it will unlock the car from the hatch. The other key works without issues.


Here’s a list of some of the maintenance work I’ve done during my ownership:

- Valve cover and timing chain cover gaskets, timing chain tensioner, power steering reservoir and lines, front crankshaft seal, accessory belts, front brake lines, battery (2015)
- Fuel pump, radiator, air filter, lower control arm bushings, differential fluid, passenger window regulator and tracks (2014)
- New rear shock mounts with reinforcing plates
- 1 front ball joint, cam and crank position sensors, brake pads and rotors (2012)
- Brake caliper, headliner (2010)
- All plastic coolant parts and hoses, thermostat, air and fuel filter (2009)

Several boxes of used E36 BMW parts available with the the car.
