Soooooo if someone wanted to paint their brake calipers what is the best type or pant to use? Something like high heat engine paint? Or is there caliper paint at like advanced auto?

they make caliper paint, most auto parts stores should carry it

If you can allow down time, powder coating would be the way to go.

A $22 (or less) headlight refinishing kit would have done the same thing :)

The brush on caliper paint works good. Gotta clean the calipers up really nice to make it stay on. When I replace the parts on my cars I always put some paint on too keep 'em from rusting and looking like poo. I just do a satin/flat black engine enamel though. Nice and understated.
