Alpina Engine
 

Thought this was an interesting find on CL. It is an Alpina built 1993 M50 and the owner is claiming 250hp. I think that this guy is smoking his socks because he is asking $3400 for the engine but hey maybe there is someone out there who is looking for that exact thing and willing to spend that kind of money on a used race car engine...

I think the 3.0 m50 came in the allroad, it was awd and made 231hp. If the engine is healthy and and considering more of a drivetrain loss with AWD 250hp might be possible

I don't think its a crazy price, it seems like a s50 before it came out and getting a s50 with tranny, headers, DEM, and engine harness, for 3k may be bit above what can be found but not too bad a price, and he said he willing to negotiate. Also, you get to be cool because its a Aplina engine lol.
