if it has EWS system which i think it does just swap out the antenna (its a black box) where the steering column is and there should be another white box labeled EWS under the glove box with the ones that came with the motor ... put the chip from the motor into your key. that should resolve your issue.
as long as all the grounds and power sources are connected correctly...

s50b28....sounds like a custom setup. Are you OBDI or II? If one, what dme, if two, what dme? If two, get it flashed, if one, use a red labeled dme with corresponding chip, cut ews wire, if starter doesnt engage, bypass ews with large black with yellow strip and black with green strip at EWS box location, it WILL at least turn the starter over.

I ran into a similar problem with my obdI to obdI s50 swap. i was putting a non-ews computer (red label) into my ews ti. because i didnt want to cut the wire, not opposing to what bluebimma said, i just pushed the pin attached to the ews wire (pin #7) out of the connector and left it in the boot. she cranked right up after that!

**** you could also push/disconnect wire number 62 from the dme connector end but its easier to do it from the connector port attached to the fuse box****
