E-Brake not functioning.

I have no idea why my e-brake is not functioning. I bought it this way. I'm hoping it's something within the e-brake rather than me needing to buy a whole new one...

Looks like you're missing the part that locks the lever in place. Look at 4, 5, and 6 on this diagram: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=34_0535
