(Specific to the Club Sport) Clean CARFAX Report, No reported accidents or body repairs!!! No Mileage or odometer issues either. I purchased this car with every intention of keeping it to until the day it turned to dust. I felt immediately engaged with this car, it just feels great to drive and is very satisfying as you work the gear box through the twisties. I was going to install a M3 drivetrain but now I'm chasing another project which requires an infusion of funds. Asking price is $5,995 OBO. I know that's a little higher asking price than most ti's, but all of those cars would likely require $2-3,000 of repairs to get them into the condition that this car is in. I’ve seen base ti’s with similar mileage selling for $4,000 and they are not anywhere near the condition of my car. Mechanically you will not find a nicer example than this Club Sport! Where are you located? Edit: Never mind. Pittsburgh. Car sounds nice and with the normal issues of an older car. Rust? I wonder if it's been in an accident? |

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what exactly do you mean by "Transmission HECK" and "Gearbox MECH"? Are those specific systems or are you saying the transmission IS "heck"? I browse through this forum a good amount, and I'm pretty sure I would recognize a certain type of transmission/gearbox. I guess correct me if I'm wrong. I'll PM you about the car pending your response. Thank you. |

Hi there 1995BostonGreenti, While browsing thru this website have you ever stumbled across Mallard's VIN number decoding thread? I think it is the oldest, longest running, largest thread here and I have used it many times myself, It is a great resource. Check it out. And thank you Mallard for continuing to do this for us! HECK & MECH are abbreviations of the German words, and there are pdf files on this site and and others that break down and give the specific definitions of each of the BMW specific option codes of which there are literally hundreds, if not maybe thousands of on the entire BMW line. Transmission ALLR = All Wheel Drive Transmission HECK = Rear Wheel Drive The German word for "rear wheel drive" is Heckantrieb abbreviated as HECK and the German word for "all wheel drive" is Allradantrieb abbreviated as ALLR Gearbox AUT = Automatic Gearbox MECH = Mechanical (Manual) The German word for "Automatic" is Automatisch abbreviated as AUT The German word for "Mechanical" is Mechanisch abbreviated as MECH |
Well that explains a lot. Thanks Altitude. Crazy German engineers... |

I was finally able to get some pics taken. It's been 20 degrees and snowing for over a week straight, just plain nasty outside. I'm guessing the same or worse for many of you as well. Just keep in mind that the car has been outside and the roads are covered in winter goodness, so she's not looking her best and was just hosed down. I just wanted to get the snow off for the pics. It was not washed at all. The first few shots were taken with a foggy lens as I left my camera in the car outside. Opps! Guess that's also the reason why I'm not a photographer. |
Did you post the pictures here? Are they posted on another web site? |
