No matter what car you drive, I custom make catch cans for YOUR vehicle. Below is an example and installation instructions for the 318ti. My system features a billet aluminum head that houses a check valve and is rebuildable. The tank fitting is AN-10 (5/8") and The Billet Head has AN-8 fitting to connect to the PCV Eliminator block (optional). Otherwise the Catch Can comes with AN-10 fittings top and bottom and simply connects between the valve cover and stock PCV. The whole system is completely customizeable: Catch Can, Fittings, Billet PCV Eliminator, Powder Coat Color... EVERYTHING!!! The Tanks are now POWDER COATED! Choose any color from www.powderbuythepound.com or www.nicindustries.com. Thousands to choose from: textures, candies, low/ high gloss... Some common features: The bottom drain is 1/4" petcock and makes it easy during oil changes to empty out. The internal is double baffled and works great! The bracket is for a front mount and installation is straight forward and easy to do (bracket can also be made "L" or "U" shape to mount where ever you want). Typical time to install would be about 10 to 15 minutes if you take your time. I can include very detailed instructions for the novice. I can also provide phone support as well. Please take a look at the photos. This is a very high quality unit. Although it was designed for the ti, it can also be used for any other sealed PCV system. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will be happy to answer right away. Here is how to install the Catch Can: AN-10 hose from valve cover to the lower fitting on the catch can. The location of the can is a really good spot. Its slightly lower than the valve cover so the crud coming out has a steady downward path into the can. This keeps the crap from backflowing into the valve cover again. Also, the cool air passing over the can helps condense the oil faster so it stays in the can. Its well hidden for a stealthy clean install. Great for all cars no matter what you drive. I can also make them with just about any style/ size fittings you want. |

Here is some more info about my catch cans: The head of the catch can is made from solid billet aluminum. Its machined to fit a check valve inside that prevents any pressure to back flow from the intake into the crank case. ALL positive crank ventilation system vehicles will benefit from this set-up. This is especially great for DASC equipped ti's or any turbo system you may have. Since the check valve is located on the vacuum side of the tank, your stock PCV can be eliminated if you choose. Or just run it in conjunction with the stock PCV. The head is rebuildable, but will most likely never need it. The internal baffling is just enough to keep the crud caught inside. Some manufacturers go overboard and it restricts the air flow. Some dont have any baffling and is very uneffective at catching the garbage. Mine has the perfect balance to ensure proper operation. Dont be fooled by the price. My catch can is much less expensive than others, but its quality is much better. I use brand name AN-8 fittings, 99.9% pure aluminum and high quality brand name automotive paint. They can be configured any way you like, including different colors. I can also provide logos airbrushed, or hose barb style fittings for a truly customized setup. February Bump. Got 7 more in the works if anyone is interested. Please send me a PM. I am emptying my catch can about every oil change. The condensation is rediculous in this cold weather. Just glad its not going back into the motor anymore. I get several ounces of yellowish, gas smelling, oily crud at each oil change. Anyone else that would like to testify or share some photos, please feel free! |
