WTB: Ti on the west coast - update found one

Hi,
I'm looking for the best Ti I can find in California or at least the West Coast.

All the obvious things I want...
Car must be manual. Leather preferred. Sport package a plus. California top would be cool.

My color preference in order is White, Silver, Blue, Black, Red (no Green). I really only would go for Red if it was a real Club Sport edition.

I want a car that has been taken care of by an enthusiast in original condition or with streetable mods. DASC would be great if it's a clean install and has been tuned correctly. 6 cylinder swap only if it's already passed CA smog and has it's BAR sticker for the swap.

Ready to buy and pay what's necessary to get a great car. Please PM or email me with what you have.

thanks,
dug

Good luck with your search. I looked nationally for my dream ti and when I found it I jumped on a plane and had ball driving it home. I mention this to alert you to the fact that you may have to expand your search geographically to get what you really want. John

if you have not checked yet, there is a 98 on ebay in your area that meets your specifications.

Thanks for the input you guys.

I went to see the 98 on ebay last week. He's a totally cool guy and the car is pretty nice, but the salvage title had me on the lookout for anything weird. I noticed that it has adjustable camber plates and the passenger side is maxed out, but the driver side is set in the middle. So I had it checked out at an alignment shop and the passenger side has 1 degree of negative camber and the caster is out of spec by a degree. The driver side has almost no camber, although there was room to add a little on the adjusters, and camber was in spec.

In the long run, a salvage title is going to be value challenged, and even more so since the frame is definitely a little bit bent.

I did find a car tonight (it was the white 96 also on ebay.) I'll post more when I take some pictures tomorrow in the daylight.

cheers,
dug
