hid & angle eye i was looking around and i found a set of angle eye headlights for 200. and an hid kit for 60. and i think this a great deal, but it wont be a great deal if i cant get them in. so from your guys's experience how hard is it to put in new headlights and change them to hid? could an idiot with a wrench do it? |
I have DEPO headlights with 55w 6000k HIDs, super easy install. I didn't get angel eyes but it shouldn't be much harder to wire those up. Save yourself a lot of money and check out ddmtuning.com they sell several brands of projector headlights which usually have a free HID option as well as several angel eye options. I got my DEPO projectors and HIDs for $150 a few months ago. |
hmm well then i will take a look:P thank you |
oh im bad. i just purchased a set from ddmtuning:S but now i have to go pick them up, and they dont tell me when i can lol |
they should give you some kind of notice if you said you're going to pick them up, give them some time they pre assemble to headlights for you. |
haha im so f-ing excited! ive wanted HID's for so long and now i'll have them by monday its all i can think about! |
Nice, what did you end up buying? It really is one of the best mods I have done to my car, being able to see the road really improved my nighttime driving skills.:biggrin: |
^ it really is one of the best mods between the better light output and it cleans up the look of your car by so much. Did you end getting angel eyes ? |
Spidertri Do you mind posting a pic of how the lights look on your car? |
I don't have angel eyes (not a fan of them on the E36, no offense to anyone). I'll post up a picture when I get back home. |
Pics of mine installed, I don't have any night shots yet, sorry. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...IMG_0148-1.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...IMG_0153-1.jpg |
yea i can post pictures when i get them in. i got HID : Raptor 35W Color : 4500K Angel Eyes : DDE Ultra |
nice, good to see the color temp you went with. |
my friend told me not to go much higher then that cuz your more likely to get pulled over, and when its raining the reflection is bad |
yea that's true, i've never heard about people getting pulled over but i guess it depends on where you live. Visibility wise though 4500 or 5000k is the best, once you get past 6k it's just kinda the "look at me" factor. |
