Buzz noise with key on engine off I was reading the codes the other day, so I had the key on but engine off. A buzzing noise was coming from the Throttle position sensor or whatever is next to it. The buzzing noise would continue for a while after I turned key off then it would stop. I can't tell if it buzzes when the engine is running or not. I circled the two possible things that are buzzing in picture. Blue is Throttle position sensor. Red is ? http://www.318ti.org/forum/picture.p...&pictureid=804 Anyone else have this problem ? I read the thread about the Crank Case Ventilation valve, but this is definately a buzz noise coming from one of these two. Thanks in advance. |
no pic? buzzing is normal though.... both my ti and my m make noise for 8-10 seconds after i shut it off and on cold start with just key on |
Yes, it's normal. It's the idle air control valve. |
Thanks!! Thanks for the feedback! I don't know why the picture doesn't show up. It shows up when I am logged in. I have the image in my albums and linked to it, and it is marked public. |
