m42 DINAN TB $300

for sale is my DINAN TB its for the m42 motor but i had it on my m44 only difference is u wont have the idler motor so ur idle its alittle weird but nothing really serious, drove my car like this with no issues at all. the DINAN big bore throttle body for the M42/44 is not available anymore and they are really hard to find, brand new these went for $399 + a core charge:eek:
They're made utilizing the OEM throttle body, and they're bored out and new butterflies installed.

im asking $300 but pm me offers no low ballers

Rare find. I have one for my Project Club Sport. GLWS

I have this same TB sitting in my garage, but have been reluctant to try it on my M44 because I wasn't sure how funky the idle would be w/o the ICV. Good to know that it will run with apparently no major issues.

GLWS!

Throttle body

Got a m42 powered '91 318is, what are the benefits?

Jean H.318TI 04-30-2013 04:48 AM

better throttle response, more air going in = more power

Did Dinan post any numbers?

I doubt you'll see substantial HP gains (Maybe 5 HP?), but certainly better air flow (57.5mm vs. 54mm stock), more torque, and sharper throttle response. Combined with a chip, you should definitely feel the difference.

Payment sent. I've got a DASC waiting to go in along with this. Thanks.

fitted my bigger bore throttle body at the same time as other mods so cant comment on wether they make much of a difference but every little helps

and heres a pic of my bbtb next to a standard one to show the difference
(its not a dinan tb but I would imagine they do the same thing)
