http://store.666fabrication.com/bmw.html 666fabrication.com or http://turbogoods.com/index.asp?Page...WPROD&ProdID=9 http://www.neukin.com/ both seem faily expensive. But there aren't many other options out there. Give them a call and let us know how it goes. |

damn dude thats hella go for the swap then |
Build a turbo kit have lot's of things that you could imagine. I have a E36 316i Compact and I'm building a turbo kit. At now I've a Garrett T3 internaly wastegatted, intercooler, and some pippings. At this moment I'm having some problems with the oil lines... That's one of the biggest concerns. Other concern is the exhaust mainfold. I will be hand-made in a exhaust shop and I still don't know were to put the turbo... If I put it in the lower part of the engine, It will have a small space to work with it. If I put it in the upper part of the engine like this one: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=xRXe58Y1p14 , I will have to relocate the ignition coils... Anyone have ideias? |

i think i might just give up on the turbo and go DA super charger =/ but it doesnt have the cool blow off i wanted |
Why not locate the turbo in the rear of the car? If I were staying in tallahassee (and thus working fulltime with access to the stuff we had at work + skilled buddies), that would have been a project we'd gotten around to doing. . . |
dude try www.gtpower.net |
Why is it that when you ask someone why they want a turbo, the first response is always "because it gives that cool blowoff sound I want" I had a friend who was "piecing together" a turbo kit for something like 3 years, he insisted he was going to turbocharge his 2000 Saturn SL2. The questions that always came up were "where you gonna get an intake manifold" and "how you gonna get that thing smogged" and the answer was always "I'll deal with that hurdle when I get to it." What it comes down to is this: if you don't have a clear understanding of the tecnical limitations of a project, and don't have a solid game plan in terms of parts you'll be using (as well as sourcing for those parts), anticipated boost, anticipated compression ratio, coolant line routing, piping, etc, etc... you're setting yourself up FTL. btw... after three years my friend was selling off his various parts on ebay after deciding he "didn't have enough time" to finish the project. that, and he had his Saturn voluntarily reposessed because he couldn't make the payments on his loan anymore. not trying to discourage you, dude... just do a lot more research, especially regarding the Ti, because there isn't much free space under the hood, and as far as I know, there aren't too many folks who have done it on a budget. Of course I'm also biased against turbos, but that's because I grew up wrenching on good ol' american muscle, with enough torque off the line to leave any kid with a silly blow off valve choking on my exhaust. $.02 the blonde weasel |

There is an E30 m42 DM class turbo on bimmerforums. I'm pretty sure I've posted links to his build before. They went to a COP conversion and cut the brackets for the coil pack off the car, also ditch the washer fluid bottle. There is a ton of room in a Ti engine compartment. |
