Door panel delete cards

I read somewhere that the e36 sedan door panels had the same footprint, but the only reason they don't fit is because of the dash board being different. if this is the case, would door panel delete cards such as the ones from MKAH motorsports fit due to not having to fit around the dash?

I think they are unique to the Ti. Someone did a group order here a while back though and is still selling them on Ebay.
