ti rattle? For you guys who have subs in your Ti, does it rattle? If so, how did you deal with it? Because right now, my Ti sounds like a hornet's nest on the outside, can't hear the rattle inside though. I added sound deadner to the trunk lid already. |
Have a read of this http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/thread58457.html some of the guys on the talkaudio forums have actually blown windows out in SPL competitions so they know a thing or two about controlling bass. |
lots of rattling is caused by the license plate rattling against the hatch...you can always pad that too. mine actually doesnt rattle too much |
I padded the license plate and tightened it down all the way. I have two 12" subs with 1000 watts going to each, and the box is ported. |
Why don't you buy some of that dynamat stuff. Ex: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ALfNbDI...search=dynomat You can line your trunk up this stuff and get rid of that rattle and also make your sub sound better. I'm planning on buying some in the spring when it arms up a little. |
I have sound deadening in the trunk lid already, it didn't help much. |
Then it is simple get rid of the subs they are added weight and take up alot of room. |
adjust the gain on your amp or head unit so the subs arent so loud and powerful :) |

yeah, that dynamat stuff is the dogs bo//ox! not cheap though! |
Dynomat sells a kit for like $15-$20 for your liscense plate. It's a piece of Dynomat, cut to the exact shape of you plate. Needless to say, it stops the rattle. Check out Tweeter, I know that they have it. |
