Boser 318Ti Redo Part 3! Wuddup guys, I know it's been awhile since I've been on the forums. I'll make up for it with this project! For this project, i'm going to redo the boser hood and repaint the car and rims to another color. Day 1: Started to do small body work around the car. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/1.jpg Going to start fresh and redo the boser hood. Here's a picture of the stock look. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/2.jpg Next step, I welded the triangle pieces onto the hood and cut the nose panel off. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/3.jpg This is what it will look like after I welded the pieces on. My welds are not pretty but this is only the second time I ever weld. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/4.jpg Here's a image of what the back of the hood looks like after the pieces have been welded together. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/5.jpg |
Day 2 Added some panel bond to help cover up any cracks and help hold the pieces together. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/6.jpg Now the fun part begins...... Here I added dura glass. It's like bondo but alot stronger and thicker. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/7.jpg After I sanded down the dura glass with 36 grit, I used regular bondo. http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/8.jpg This is what it looks like after I sand down the bondo with 80 grit. The custom boser hood is almost complete! http://www.noahpham.com/stuff/2011_318ti/9.jpg |

Thanks guys, I still have a lot to do to the car before it will be finish. For example, interior, wetsand and buff the car, etc... I will probably rebuild the engine next year and super charge it. :) |
Badass as always |
you've got some dedication to redo the whole car in almost the same color  it came out great though |
As Mr. Rogers says... "won't you be my neighbor"? Very nice work! |
One question, how much effect do the eyelids have on the headlight beams and lighting up the road? |
Dude the car is looking good man. Hit me up my phone is acting funny and it is going in and out of service. Text seems to be working so try that first. Anyone wanting his old hood PM me, I dont think it I am going this route so If you want to pay for shipping and what I paid for it I will entertain selling it. Of course would like it to stay local but cash talks. and BTW if you havent figured out I am the one who bought his old hood and am suppose to be picking it up today. |

They might be more important in OK than they are in NJ. I can't remember the last time I even used mine.. aside from flashing somebody to let them go or to let a semi know they are safe to slide in ahead of me on the highway |
