FS: '97 Silver ti, 5 Speed ~$500 OBO 4 Attachment(s) I regrettably have to sell my favorite car ever. Having a baby and crazy winters forced me to stop driving it a few months ago and sitting hasn't been kind. It drives very good, but it seems the power steering pump needs replacing, the brakes need to be replaced, and the body has seen better days. It is a good running car, but needs more work than I am willing t put into it. I know I could probably part it out, but I live in NYC and do not have a driveway or garage to keep a parted out car. The cr has 102K original miles on it. I purchased it with 22k on it 9 years ago. I will post more pictures of interior and engine. Here are some PROS and CONS: Pros: -5-Speed, NEW clutch, less than 1000 miles on it -New Battery, but sitting so long may have killed it, it started up immediately after connecting jumper cables, but doesn't seem to be holding charge. -Sport Seats from an E36 M3, old seats were broken. -Tires have less that 5000 miles on them, but wheels aren't very good. Bends from NYC streets -A very good Pioneer stereo with USB and Bluetooth. I have a new microphone for it, but haven't installed it yet. Cons: -Clutch is good, but it bucks getting into first. After its in, it drives fine. -Power Steering pump leaks, probably needs replacing. At low speeds steering is tough -As you see in photos body has taken a beating living in NYC. I do not have a rear bumper cover -Headliner is falling down and some other A pillar linings as well. -Read driver fender is buckled from a rear end hit. No frame damage, jut the buckle. No paint damage either. I honestly have no idea what to ask for it, but I am not being greedy. I would really love it if it went to someone who will drive it or restore it etc, or lie to me and tell me they are going to :( I'll take offers, and anything over $500 I will drive it to you up to 50 miles away from 10461. |
$500 seems fine. What you describe are easy fixes. The 1st gear bucking could be from broken engine or tranny mounts. Headliner is easy to renew for about $130 tops and a few hours of work. Rear non sport bumper should be easier to source plus drivers mirror cover. power steering pump or a worst the rack are easy to replace if you have a place to do it. Could be a good car for someone who wants to put in a little renew time and a $500 for new/used parts. |
Thanks, I know its not tough fixes, just money and time I do not have. I hope someone takes it, its really a great car that should have a good home. |
Can you post interior pics as well? How is the service history? Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk |
